A family favourite service where the lights on the cathedral’s giant Christmas tree are lit, and the nativity scene is blessed.
Durham Cathedral’s beautiful crib scene will be blessed by the Dean, the Very Revd Dr Philip Plyming, at a special service suitable for people of all ages, including children, on Sunday 15 December at 3.30 p.m.
The crib includes a number of touches from the North East including a miner’s lamp and is much-loved by young and old alike.
