Open day in the Deanery Garden

Saturday 13 July 2024 10:00am

On Saturday 13 July we'll be opening up the Deanery Garden for all visitors to enjoy.

The garden, usually closed to the public, will be open as part of Durham Cathedral's first ever Hospitality Week.

Play games on the lawn including bean bag toss, ring toss and giant Connect 4, or take a seat in the marquee where you will be able to purchase tea, coffee, cold drinks and snacks from our pop-up cafe.

Don't miss your chance to explore this beautiful garden during this rare public opening.

How to get there: The Deanery Garden can be found at the rear of the cathedral. If coming through the cathedral, head through the Cloister, down the Dean's Walk and the garden will be on your left. If coming up the Bailey, go through the archway into The College. From there head up the path and turn right towards the cathedral. The garden is on your right.

This event is part of Durham Cathedral's first Hospitality Week. Hosted within a marquee in the Deanery Garden, Hospitality Week will feature a number of events to thank staff, volunteers, stakeholders, donors and members of the public for their continued support of Durham Cathedral.
