- Pick up a family activity leaflet from the visitor desk and discover more about the Peace Doves installation with fun activities.
- Get mindful and follow our Peace trail around Durham Cathedral. Spot the boards and take a moment to reflect.
Monday to Friday, 11am - 3pm
- Get creative and reuse outlines from the Peace Doves installation to create new stencil artwork, in the Learning Centre which can be found next to the Undercroft and shop exit.
Thursday 25 July and every Thursday in August, 11.15am - 2.45pm (every 30 minutes)
- Departing every 30 minutes join us for a 30-minute-long family-friendly tour. Beginning at the Font, which is near the Visitor Desk, we will pull a special object from a bag and discover the meaning behind the object. This mini tour is free of charge and there is no need to book.

Throughout June, July and August, 10am - 4pm (Sundays 12pm - 4pm)
- Explore blockbuster filming locations, including the Chapter House
- Let off steam in the woodlands and riverbanks surrounding the cathedral
- Kids over 8 years old can climb the 325 steps to the top of the Tower
